The information in the three tables (click on Table 1 on the right) is based on published accounts and supplementary expert knowledge of available physical habitat/geomorphological assessment methods.
Some methods have been included at the request of the CaSTCo Technical Advisory Group but cover issues that were not strictly within scope – in these instances, there may be alternative methods that are not listed in the table.
Equally, the scope of some individual methods is wider than physical habitat/geomorphology, which may be pertinent to method selection by CaSTCo.
Incomplete entries reflect the generic lack of suitable assessment information in published accounts of the methods.
Peer-reviewed publications are listed in Citizen Science Guide Bibliography.
Methods identified as being relevant for further evaluation (the ‘shortlist’) are highlighted in green.
